Q01: Oh my this game
looks so exciting! What's The Sims about? Q02: Where can I buy The
Sims? Q03: How many versions
of the games are there? Q04: Where can I find a
gameplay FAQ?
Q01: Oh my this game looks so exciting! What's The Sims about?
AO1: Of course
it is exciting! IMO The Sims is the best computer game ever created [with the exception of Simcity 3000 by the same company of course].
Come and join this new Simsterholic Anonymous!
We are people who play
gods and goddesses to some little people called "The Sims", and we could
choose to make them fall in love, out of love, have babies, neglect the babies, jump in the pool, starve them, or [more morbidly] kill them in all sorts of creative ways! If you are, like me, who don't enjoy manipulating or killing people you can come join the the fast growing creative force of The Sims Community
to play architect, interior designer or landscape
artists instead.
The reason for the game's success [10 million
dollar sold so far and still growing] is still being debated, but in my opinion is due to the
universal appeal - fathers and brothers were reported to monopolise the home pcs after
the sisters and mothers introduced them to this game. How many
games which don't kill/ shoot/ overpower others become so popular? There must
be more to greeting your neighbors and shopping for that special new livingroom set which make this game special?
Don't sit there and wonder, invest now in the new home entertainment
which you play the scriptwriter, director, set designer, wardrobe designer and cast your fav
stars or yourself [well that custom-made virtual sims self of yours] in the theatre of ultra mundanity or
weirdest theme parties. What more can you ask
for? Another badly scripted Survivor episode? [honestly Survivor IS the most staged "natural" show on planet earth it made Baywatch look like a documentary] Join
the Simsterholic Anonymous now! And don't waste your time
with the "demos" - it's going to worth every cents you pay
Maxis for. Start with The Sims and Living Large and expand into House Party the following week. Say bye bye to boring TV.
[Gee I sound like I'm
paid by Maxis don't I? Definitely a result
from over-analysing my skin-object-creation-compulsive-obsessive-disorder and having read too many reviews about this
game]
Q02: Where can I buy The Sims or the expansion packs?
AO2: If you want it immediately try the local game software
shop or international bookstore. You can certainly buy them direct from
Amazon.com or from the official
site store.
AO3: The Sims, Living Large
expansion pack, and House Party. Hotdates, the current talk of the town will be released end 2001. The Sims Online will be launched in a year or two.
AO4: On the official site where you'll lots of cool screenshots too. While you're there please help Simorphor - send their webmasters a message to ask them to add Simorphor Fan Link page!
